I have a small untwisted Money Tree which had two nice leafy shoots doing well. Then my pet birds chewed the tops off. I have them in water for a few weeks now. Can they be re-planted somehow? My money tree was short, but mature and woody and one new sprout showed up but appears to be on it's way out now. The other stem is not growing any sprouts.
If it is heavy and woody I don't think the chances of rooting the whole trunk are good. That being said, you might be able to take the very tops as cuttings and root those. Look here: http://www.ehow.com/how_15650_propagate-houseplants-stem.html
Thanks! I think one is rooting in water but not sure since I can't tell if I am looking at a shredded stem or root. I should have given it a clean trim first
