I have one that got to big for indoors and the climate here freezes for outside. I figured I had nothing to loose if I tried to cut it down to size. I lopped off the leader at a sharp diagnal, doused it with root hormone and have kept it in a pot of perlite I water daily . It's been 6 weeks now without a lost leaf or any wilt...so I think it must be rooting nicely. I've continued to care for the branchless and leafless trunk, which now at 6 weeks has bright green and swelling meristematic nodes at the old fallen leaf node sights. Especially at the top 6-8 inches just below the diagonal cut I made. I'm exited to see how the new branches and leaves will form.
