I have serval raspberrie plants producing lots of berries, but some of the berries are turning white, I do not know why
I posted a similar question a few hours ago - in my case I get about 5% of the berries with a few white spots, eg the berry looks OK, except these small parts are white instead of coloured. Taste OK. Let me knbow if you find an ansxwer - its not mould as someone suggested . Ellis
Actually, I joined this forum to see if anyone knows why some of the raspberry drupes are albino. Would love to know what is going on. Berries are fully formed and tasty.
I would suspect sunscald/heat scorch...esp. given the recent hot weather. Doesn't sound like any specific pest or disease...easily recognized mold being the most common challenge in my raspberry patch most years. Check out, for e.g. http://www.hort.cornell.edu/departm...rryDoc/raspberry/leavesstems/Raspsunscald.htm
Thanks for that explanation. Sunscald does make sense, as the plants look healthy. Appreciate your help.
