Wildflowers: Ranunculus ID help

    Hi. I believe that the flower in the photos attached here are some species of Ranunculus. That said, its flower and leaf shape don't seem to match the usual suspects (R. acris, R. fasicularis, etc.) for Oakland County, Michigan.

    The photos were taken the last week of June in Oakland County, Michigan.

    Can you please help me identify this?

    A member of the pea family, Fabaceae. Look at the genus Lotus to start with. Actually, Lotus corniculatus is the only species present in Michigan according to USDA PLANTS database, so I suspect that one.
