British Columbia: Questions re: some trees in Chase, BC

    I planted a 12ft northern pin oak last sept and its not budding as of yet. I,m at 1300m elevation. I also planted a Mayday tree at the same time and it started budding three weeks ago. Is this normal? Perhaps its just a late bloomer ?

    Oaks are among the latest trees to leaf out; they're not even close in the Vancouver area.
