This was on Cascade Pass last week. Looked like some sort of solitary penstemon growing out of rocks with running glacial stream water - except that I didn't think penstemon did solo flowers and it s usually in dry locations and there were plenty of multiflowered ones in drier spots. A special variety? Something else? Elevation approx 5500feet. thx Margaret T.
