Hello Garden Guru Friends !! I am about to ask a question that might raise some eyebrows as a pretty silly one ... but here goes! LOL While growing up in eastern Ontario, my elderly neighbor had bunches of beautiful banana yellow coloured lilies, which he called Banana lilies. They looked just like orange tiger lilies but were banana yellow. The characteristics of the lilies were the same too. (height, shape, length of bloom time etc). Now that I live in south western Ontario, I believe I am once again seeing them in gardens around the city as we drive around to get garden ideas. Here is my questions Are they a tiger lily? Would someone know the ones I am speaking about? I googled Tiger Lilies and did not realize how many different colours there were. Can you still purchase them? LOL I sound like a three year old asking questions I have gained so much knowledge being part of this site , thank you all!!
