We accidently broke a branch from a tangerine tree. We want to grow a new tree from a branch cutting. Can this work? What is the best way of doing it?

    Thanks,

Yes, it can be rooted. Remove about an inch of the bark at the bottom of the stem, it won't hurt to scratch about and inch above that-- dip it in some rooting hormone and put it in a pot with moist soil-- cover the pot with a plastic bag or put it in a large ziplock bag and set it in a warm shady environment. You may want to put a wire frame in the pot if you cover it with a plastic bag.
