Propagation: Question about rooting a prayer plant

I have a prayer plant cutting that was rooted but whose roots became damaged during a transplant so i've taken a new clipping and I've got it in water. I'm wondering though, will covering more than one node with water cause any sort of issue with root growth or is it imporant for me to only try and grow roots from the bottom most node?
