Hello experts! I *think* I have a Euphorbia trigona plant that was originally the bottom of a Euphorbia Lactea Cristata graft. Sadly, the E. Lactea Cristata died but the E. trigona has been doing quite well. Anyways, I now have two healthy branches growing out of a relatively short bottom stalk. I would like to encourage branching to balance out the entire plant. Any suggestions on how I can accomplish that? Thanks for your help.
I've had a Euphorbia trigona for at least 30 years. We had to cut the tops off a few years back because it was too tall for our 9 foot ceilings. The cuttings are easy to propagate, I let the ends dry and then plant them in a succulent mixture. I use Schultz cactus and succulent fertilizer and put them in a southeast window. They push up shoots readily from the soil and the branches. Do not overwater or the branches will get mushy and die. Line the bottom interior of your pot with heavy rock before adding the soil, because this plant can get top heavy and winds or pets will knock it over! I'd like to know how tall can these plants get and what causes the leaves to fall off?
