Hi I'm new on the board!

I'm looking for small varieties of apples. I'm doing a wedding cake and using apples to decorate it, I plan on using crab apples, but would like another variety as well.

Any suggestions?? I also need to know where to find them. Thank you!

Hello Taryn, welcome to the forums.

I don't know when your wedding is occuring, but you are likely to find more varieties of apples at the UBC Botanical Garden Apple Festival next month than anywhere else.

A market featuring a large selection of produce.

  4. Unfortunately the wedding is on October 15, the DAY OF the festival which would have been perfect! I discovered this board while looking through info on the festival.

Small apples that are not crab apples seem rare in markets. Like Ron said try a really large market (maybe Granville Island) or a specialty market. What about other fruits? Marzipan apples?

Are the apples intended for eating, or just decoration?

If the former, I'd not recommend crab apples - why not try something more palatable like grapes?
