    Hello all!

I am new to the forums and looking for advice. This spring I will be moving to Quesnel, BC and the yard is very open and in need of some vegetation. I'm trying to determine what zone it is in so that I can narrow down my plant choices. Some sources list it as a 3, while others range from 2-4, and on some maps it's just plain hard to tell. If there is someone who currently lives or studies in the region that could help me out that would be great! I do know that the winters are much milder than where I currently live (Fort Nelson, BC) but beyond that, I'd be interested in knowing what types of flowering shrubs and trees can survive there. I will also be planting some perennial flowers and what not but ornamental shrubbery and even some hardy fruit trees are my priority this year.

    Any tips would be appreciated!
    Erin

If nothing else you can see what is already growing there once you are living there.

    Hello Erin,

You may want to private message "flywaysuzy", as she is from Quesnel: flywaysuzy - or invite her to respond on this thread so that the answers to the question can help someone else in the future, too.
