There were 2 of this kind of trees, but none is labelled. External appearance and size a bit like Dimocarpus longan. But fallen fruits on the ground, when broken up, are filled with white paste like substance. Kindly ID please.
I think it might be Davidia involucrata. The white paste like substance doesn't seem to be right though, except that I see that Davidia do have seeds in with white fibres. Were these on opposite sides of the quarry garden, one on the path on the way down?
