Identification: QE Park : Corticiales ?

    On a fallen log. Bear some resemblance to those on
    a living tree at Nature Park. Kindly ID please.

    Yes I agree that this is likely in the Corticiales. Tough group to ID in and unlikely to be ID'able from a photo. Not a colour/pattern that is ringing any bells: Do you know what kind of log it was on? Also was it on underside/top/side of log?

    Thanks a lot.
    Don't know what kind of wood it is, only that it is dark coloured.
    The fungi are on the sides of the log, nothing on top or at the end.
    Haven't turn the log over to investigate the bottom !
