Hi, I am new, found this site while trying to identify a purple flower my daughter and I picked.

We live in the midlands of South Carolina and found this flower while on a walk so assume it is a "wildflower."

The blooms are small and it blooms in late summer I am guessing since it is Sept 3rd right now and it has blooms. They flowers are small and purple...look sort of like miniature snapdragons in shape.

The leaves are not serrated and there are 3 (clover-shaped) leaves coming from a central point.

The plant stalks seem to grow about 6-10 inches in heighth and there are many stalks per "bush."

I would also like to know if they have any scent when crushed or if I can dry them out and use them in a pot pourri mix or sachet.

I honeslt think it might be some sort of clover or lavendar just based on the looks. Sorry the pic is bad, it was taken with a camera phone.

Thanks! I looked up the name you gave me and from other pics and descriptions it certainly sounds like what we found. I was also right and it IS part of the clover family.
