Saw this Jasmine plant with Purple Petals. Is it unique, a common Jasmine variety, or perhaps a result of soil pH ? Cheers, z
Hmm! I am not at all sure that the pink flowers are a Jasminum. I wonder if there is a 2nd plant growing through and into the white Jasminum. There is a red/ pink Jasminum, called Jasminum beesianum, but the structure of the flowers looks very different to your pink flower. http://static2.davidkennardphotography.com/Img/1425-Red-jasmine-(Jasminum-beesianum)-flower.jpg Is it possible for you to have a closer look?
I agree with Ron B as the pink/purple flowers look like Oxalis and you can see the round leaves amongst the jasmine leaves. Looks pretty though!
Ahhh!! Thanks folks :D At first I was so sure that it was all Jasmine as the flower petals look so similar, but the next day after reading Silver Surfer's reply I started to think maybe he was right and they accidentally mixed in another plant. Used to love watching silver surfer cartoons when I was younger (;
