Would this have been a wild area or near a place where it is possible it could be a garden plant (I'm essentially asking if it is likely to be a native wildflower)? Beautiful photographs, by the way.
thanks! I've been looking around and the neighbor across the street has the plant it came from. Turns out it is Agapanthus africanus, African Lily. Mystery solved!
