A zone 7b deciduous tree 15 to 20 ft that prefers full sun but will accept part shade. Blossoms will open to about 2" across and have a waxy coating prior to opening. This tree will produce edible fruit. Very hard to find in Vancouver.

Another locally borderline plant, with longtime plantings being hard hit by the 1990 winter.
