I wondered where to post this, but after having a look at the different threads, I saw that "Prunus Mume" is included, so "Prunus cerasifera pissardii" could be in this sub-forum, all the more than "cerasifera" means something like "that produces cherries" if I remember well from my 2 years of Latin at school. I don't know about other places in the world, but here, it's very common. I have two, one in the front garden (fortunately, they've just buried the electic wires and telephone cables) and one in the back garden. They're always among the first ones to bud out. I saw a big old one in a park two days ago, and mine are beginning to flower too : I also have a couple that I trained as bonsai, with more of less succes, like this one that was at its best in 2016 :
Wow, that's a fabulous-looking tree. I've been putting the Vancouver and Victoria plums in the Plums thread in VCBF Neighbourhood Blogs, but I think this is a good spot for plums not in Vancouver, and for particularly notable ones in Vancouver. Thanks, Alain. Your bonsai is pretty cute too.
Here is a Prunus cerasifera Cherry plum in my road a few minutes ago. Just bursting with blossom. It is only a few yards from a Mount Fuji cherry that comes into blossom as this one ends.
