How severely can I prune a Savannah Holly and when? The 8 foot tall tree was attacked by a pest that devoured all the leaves in August. The tree seems to have survived with clusters of leaves (and berries) at the ends of the branches, but naked elsewhere. Should I cut it back by 1/3 in December? I live in SC.

No. Give it more time to recover on its own.
