Hello, I have a heart-leafed philodendron that I grew from cutting. I know it’s a ‘boring’ plant but I like it. It has 2 active growth ends. These things grow like crazy. When and how do I clip it and how often? Most of the philodendrons I see are far too stringy and I would like to encourage it to branch as much as possible. How much branching is possible? How long should it be before I start pinching it? Pruning advice would be much appreciated. Thank-you
just cut a couple of stems every few days . you dont want to do to much at once and put it into shock .. cut it back as far as you want new growth will start from were you cut it . then root it and put it back in the pot to fill it out if you want or start another plant .. Marn
Great! Thank-you. It never dawned on me to replant the cuttings in the same pot :/ It should be a very nuce plant in a few months.
