    Hi there:

I have some sort of Euphorbia milii hybrid. Lovely plant with nice green leaves and big yellow/pinkish 'flowers'. Well after a couple of years it has gotten tall and lanky. I would like to prune it, but the last one I had (it was the same plant) did not respond to the pruning by sending out new growth from the bottom. I managed to root the cut stems, but they never looked very good. Very thin and did not branch at all, even when cut back. When I see that they are available again, I usually just pick up another one. Well it looks like they aren't gonna be available again for a while, so I l'd like to renovate the one I have. I've got a few euphorbias and have noticed that some branch readily from the bottom and some, like this one, do not. I was wondering if anyone has some experience with milii's and can help me. Perhaps there is some trick to getting those adventitious buds to grow?
