My tree is a multigraft and some of the branches are reaching for the sky.
I have had a really good crop 2010, 2011...maybe 12 plums. Any ideas for more fruit and pruning? I did use dormant oil last winter.
    Much appreciated

2011 had really bad weather during spring while the early plums were blooming. I have a plum tree with several varieties, and the Japanese varieties produced almost nothing. However, the prune plum had to be thinned, and what I think is a Yellow Egg plum had a normal crop. I wouldn't worry about 2011 results; it was an anomalous La Nina year. 2010 was more typical.
