I got myself a new recording device, I think it really improves the detail in the video.
Pruned one of our older Red Dragon maples yesterday.
    Step by step details
Proud canadian shirt as well !

Great video Otto! I've been slowly opening up one of my Red Dragons. The other i plan to leave it be. You give me confidence to go at mine a little harder. I just had this home built on 2.5 acres and bought about 70 maples and conifers with me. I plan on sharing my gardening journey with my friends on this forum.

Wow! Nice big start to the garden, looks like a full time gardening job with 70 new specimens!
I appreciate the comments on the video. I have been busy with my new camera as I have posted 8 new video's over the past 5 weeks. All showcasing detailed pruning techniques that we use for all of our maples.
Definitely that time of year again as mother nature always treats us to the beauty of the magnificent cultivators as they open up

Otto inspired pruning on a couple of my mikawa's! I like this much more. My vision of my future landscape is symmetry at the foundation of the house and then the japanese garden inspired collection unfolds on the sides and front away from the house. The back is for the kids and dog. I have 2 very similar mikawa's below so they will be sighted on each side of the front porch with symmetry in mind but a glimpse into the collectors mind.
