Hello...I have an 8 year old monkey puzzle tree that I've grown from a seedling. It's an unusual shape. At the base is a second branch that is forcing the main part of the tree to curve. I was wondering if it was safe to cut the smaller section off and if it was possible to root it and grow a separate tree. I've attached some pictures. I love this tree, and don't want to damage it, either by leaving it the way it is or cutting off the offshoot. Thanks so much for your advice. tg.
