Is it possible to prune a Bing cherry tree to keep it small? I know this is going against it's natural tendencies, but the tree is all ready part of my backyard. It's getting too tall to pick the cherries and the birds are getting most of them!

Sure, you can keep the tree as small as you want. It should be noted that now is NOT the time to make big cuts on any of your trees: it's too hot and dry. The stress is too much for it. You can cut stuff under a 1/2 inch across but do it a few branches at a time to reduse the shock.
