This is the question on Whistier plants(spelled wrong I'm sure). I live in the midwest and this summer bought and planted three Whistier plants into there own clay pot 1 1/2 size bigger pot than they came in. This weekend we put them on and arbor. The plants are doing great, grew alot. The question is: With the Winter weather coming I don't want the plant to freeze in the pots. What should I do to protect them during the colder months? Thank you , Brad7
Whistier Trees? and Iris... Also, a question on Iris bulbs, my plants weren't doing well over the years so I dough them up and cut the tops back to plant this fall, Here is the question. I would like to make a raise bed for them but won't be able to do it till next year. I would hate to put them in the ground just to get them in the ground. Is there a way I could keep the dorment to plant next fall when the Iris bed is done. Dry dark cool spot, in a bag of vermicumite(spelled wrong). Thanks so much for the help. Brad7
Merged threads, moved to Hortboard - and jimmyq, I guessed Wisteria as well, so that's what I titled this as.
Re: Whistier Trees? and Iris... Yes, this is what I was asking. I see you gave a site, I went to it but am lost as, am I to look for the answers to the questions I asked? I have no idea where to go, it looks like what your business does in the landscaping field. What you do, links, have done ,contact us. If I wanted to go fishing I could have done this myself in the first place. I found this forum and thought I'd get the answer I was hoping to hear and find out. I was hoping someone would be able to just respond to the post about Wisteria's and Iris. Thank You, Brad7
Brad - we needed to be certain about which plant you are talking about. As for the link from jimmyq's post, it is part of his signature (much like an email signature you can have at the bottom of your emails), much like you see at the bottom of my posts. Apologies that you misunderstood what he meant with it. As for answers to your questions, perhaps someone will step in soon. Neither are in my areas of expertise.
