I was pleasantly surprised to see on Saturday that my Poa Poiformis had "pups" growing on one of it's leaves. There were about 30 little mini plants on the end of one of its leaves, each of which looked like they were trying to strike roots. We planted them up in propagating mix, because these are desirable in our backyard as feature grasses, and when they can cost a couple of bucks each, this is a bonus!

    My questions are:

    1. Does anyone here have any experience with growing tussock grasses from pups?
    2. Does anyone have any idea why this may happen in the first place? (conditions, light, soil, whatever?)

    Martin
