I recently lost a white pine tree, 32 yr. of age, due to construction damage. Some time after the tree was removed, I dug up several roots in the vicinity of the old stump. I was wondering if it would be possible to root some of these to develop one or more "clones" of the parent. Any help on sources of information, hormone use etc. would be much appreciated. From a cursory web search, this looks possible, but difficult.
    Thanks

Sorry, no. Pines don't sprout from roots, so there's no way of getting it to develop any foliage.
