Hey all - I recently snipped a couple shoots off of my Pachira and Dracaena.I now have them sprouting roots in water. I'm wondering if its possible to pot these back in the soil of the original plant (slightly beside the original plant was my plan). I was thinking that it might look good to get a second smaller growth under the existing plants. Is this advisable? Or would it be better to plant it in a brand new pot. Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers
Of course it will be better to pot it in a new pot and new soil so the new plant will not have to compete with the established plant for light, moisture and nutrients.
I would saw to grow the babies in separate little pots until they are well established. Then you can pot them all together in the larger pot if you like.
