I'm going to be moving soon and am just wondering about the different ways to propagate a dumbcane. I'm not familiary with air layering but have heard that is one of the ways to propagate. I've also heard of just cutting it at some point on the stalk and simply replanting the portion I've cut. If anyone out there can explain in detail the different techniques I'd really appreciate it. I LOVE my dumbcane plant and would love to have more.
    Thanks in advance.

Rather than writing it myself, look at this, " Air Layering", and this "Cane cuttings".

If you want LOTS of plants, then cane cutting are the best way, but it takes a long time before you have full, large plants from them.

Cuttings are quickest and certainly the easiest. Leave at least two nodes. One goes in the soil and the other will sprout one to three new canes.
