I wanted to try this a few yrs ago …. have you seen in stores ? or picked any buds? (From clean source) I think pickling is part of the process ? I wonder if the usual sugar violet preservation method would work for sweet confection decor
Thanks, @Junglekeeper . This seems like an unusually detailed and accurate description for a grocery supplier page. Not only that, but the detailed information about all the other produce on the sidebar, particularly the descriptions for the varieties listed when you click one of the sidebar items is extraordinary. I'll make a note to add it to a resource page, I guess https://forums.botanicalgarden.ubc.ca/resources/fruit-and-nut-trees.22/, I don't see the page you linked to listed on the sidebar, though. Where did you find that?
The page is listed in the sidebar as Cherry Blossoms Japanese in the sublist that's display under Flowers.
I've done that now. Specialty Produce, on the Fruit and Nut Trees | UBC Botanical Garden Forums page.
That's probably the best place for it to be in even though things like mushrooms, ferns, cacti, and others won't be represented. It just goes to show what a wide range of things that humans consume as food.
