    Hello
I am usually quite successful with my plants both indoor and out, but I am having difficulty 'rearing' my ACER PALMATUM 'ATROPURPUREUM'. It has started to develop some discolouring on the edges, It is otherwise healthy. Can anyone help please?

    Hello Alex,
Thank you for your swift reply to my query. The leaves are purple/red. I have just had the plany given. It is young (about a foot tall), and in a 5 inch pot. The tips of the plant are a brown, so I am inclined to think you are correct about the wind. I live on the coast, here in the U.K., and whilst the climate is quite temperate (for the uK!), it is still windy, a lot of the times. I am feeding it, perhaps I should also move it to a more sheltered spot.

    Thank you again,
    Susie
