Good Day. I have a Walnut Tree and I'm worried about it. Last year the lot behind us was developed commercial so all the big trees on that lot were slaughtered. That means all our trees at the back of our property including this Walnut Tree receive much more sun now then they have in 30 years. While the lot was developed the roots for the Walnut Tree were exposed as some of the roots were on the property being developed. I deep root fertilized and drip irrigated it all last summer. This spring we put fresh manure/soil on it's roots and around it. More then normal it's leaves have fallen off this year already and it hasn't produced many Walnuts. It also has some black spots on some of the leaves and most recently a piece of the outer bark has fallen off and is cracked in another place. The inner bark has a pasty white material all over it. Any help offered would be greatly appreciated.

Take the developers to court for damage to your property.
