Further to threads recently fr Seattle - i have question

is privet a broadleaf evergreen in the coastal Pac NW?

I saw this today nr the ocean beach in Vanc BC area and it does well says gardener (see photos below)

No pruning - no water in summer (tho I note its feet are well shaded by a hedge we won’t mention for its unruly behaviour (or lack of maintenance by humans more likely))

I estimate that the tree/shrub is approx 12 feet tall and 8 feet wide at crown

The long narrow leaves are perhaps 3/4 inch wide and maybe 2.5 inch long (comparison pic below is acer circinatum I think)

Joking aside - it’s planted next to a well maintained laurel hedge and this privet is very happy - it’s been pruned up in to a nice looking small tree on a small old real estate lot w other old garden in place.

    I think it’s approx 11 yr old

    What do you think ?

I have not seen them invasive here in coastal bc (there is lots of holly and laurel and ivy invading the same n’hood)

Any idea which privet this is?
    Berries?
