We found this very pretty purple plant in a mostly shady area of our garden, but have no clue what it is. We must have planted it? We are now keeping better records and would like to get this on named.

Polemonium (Jacob's Ladder), not sure which particular species (there's about 25 species in the genus)

It could be self-sown, there are species which are native in your area.
