I have a small potted fig that has put on figs even though none of the leaves have come out of bud yet. Is this normal? Last year it seemed to be growing well in its new pot, getting taller with lots of leaves and two figs in August (I was thrilled, as it had been outside in the ground, wrapped and covered with snow, and had survived -10' temperatures), but I didn't want to go through another winter worrying about it, so I potted it up and brought it inside or covered it on the portal depending on the ambient temperature. I have three different varieties, the other two have put on leaves, but this one with the germinal figs shows only the beginnings of leafing out. Any thoughts?
