Hey - I have seeds for Arbutus trees!


Also, thank you to the lady who sent me 'burro's tail' succulent cuttings today, from California! I appreciate the beautiful cuttings so much.

Here's a picture, in case she joins this thread...

The last shot is of my 'Blackberry Lily' seedlings. A few people in this thread received seeds for these from me, and I thought they might appreciate having a look at the seedlings the seeds will produce.

Even though they look like grass, or chives, I assure you that they are 'Blackberry Lilies'...

 

There is another thread or 2 going about these Arbutus Tree's and apparently there is some disease problem as quiet a few mature trees are popping of the mortal coil. I'm sure I have the right tree????????

I love the succulant very nice .. I got some last year that were SQUARE like little boxes but they died on me..I only got like 2cm of it ...
in the moment I am growing a cutting from a succulent that is geen and snow white ...very small and cute ...

Maybe when we do our next seed exchange, I can mail ya some burro's cuttings too. They grow pretty fast.

Hiyas Shearme was just informed from the lynn part of Willandlynn that they also grow in California, can't confirm, but yes is an amazing, peeling bark tree.

Oh, I am a believer in giving free rein to the imagination. Much more interesting than reality!
Hmm. Why 4 1/2 inches?...In (boring) reality: 5'8". Have been told that I resemble Annie Lennox in facial feature, Rapunzel in hair length, and my opposite gender on the phone. No blue hair yet. (D'you mean as in old lady, or as in a head-banging fan of Shinedown?) In fact, I did wear clogs in high school---the original wooden-soled variety. And, to quote Jim Carrey in 'The Mask'---I am always "SMOKIN'!!!!!" (Ha!) Not too difficult in this heat: already past 90 here today. As my house is a/c free, this is the ambient temp. even as I type. My place of work is similarly lacking---has been busted for 2 weeks now. With the statewide massive budget cuts, I daresay this will be an ongoing situation.---Perhaps in the wintertime we can BURN the withdrawn books unsold at sales!---Could be a moot point soon: after 15 years, I may not have a job at all very soon. -------Hey! As stated above, imagination is much better than reality.

Will have to get on the parakeet pix.

just thought it sounded like a funny height with these big old clogs! The cigar was just bizarre, and sounded ridiculous.

There are many different kinds of ornamental cabbages out there - I am really into them. Hope the one above does well when I stick it outside. I am putting one of my banana pups out tomorrow, as well. Yippeeeeeeee.

Although an absolutely terrible shot, because it was too dark outside when I snapped it, this is my 'Hagley' hybrid clematis. I will snap a better shot in the daylight, and show the whole vine - there two vines total, and both are on the fence at the front of the building.

Oh goodness, what a terrible shot though! At least you get the idea...

Yup, I've been know to take a decent shot, but this wasn't one of them - truth is I was dripping with sweat, in the middle of cutting back dead tulip leaves. Shouldn't have been taking peeks anyway.
