This plant grows in the Sonoran Desert near the sea of Cortez. The lush shot is a volunteer the other is of cuttings I am attempting to cultivate. Left to it's own growth pattern it spreads from a central stalk about 6 to 8 inches off the ground. The leaves and stems are covered with tiny goblets that probably store moisture. It grown in areas where there is very, very little rainfall.
