I know that the Ponytail Palm is of the lily family but since I don't know a lot about plants I'm hoping I can receive some helpful information. My plant grows in a container here in San Diego, California and for the first time a long stalk came out of the top and flowered (I looks somewhat like a flower). It has stopped flowering. Do I prune this back? How far? Do I just cut it off? Any help would be greatly appreciated. You can also email me at rexowens@gmail.com.

    Thanks, Rex
