I have a tall 3 legged (I call it) ponytail palm. It is a little to tall but I want more leaves on it. I was thinking of cutting it down halfway in the springtime. Do you think it would regrow from where I cut? Also the 3 stems I cut can I just put them in soil and grow 3 more ponytail palms? Thank for your help.
Welcome to the Forums. The following thread may be of interest: How to grow multiple trunks on a Ponytail Palm? I think it would be better to make the cuts closer to the base. Apparently this plant is difficult to root: https://www.researchgate.net/public...UTTINGS_OF_PONYTAIL_PALM_BEAUCARNEA_RECURVATA. Don't count on getting any of the stem tips to grow on.
