    Hi,

just for fun I planted some seeds from a müesli bag into the soil, and among others, a sunflower grows. Now it even blossoms.

Is such a sunflower blossom self-pollinating? Or, if not, how can I pollinate it? Is one flower of both sexes? Or do I need several plants?

It's insect pollinated in nature, so moving it outdoors would be my suggestion.

Thanks, SaltCedar. I could give a try to a brush to do the pollination by myself, if only I would know if that one blossom is enough for that purpose (uniting both sexes or not). That I want to find out here.

I see single specimens in nature that most likely self pollinated.
