    Hello,
I am brand new here, and have had never had so much trouble posting. Too late in the day or too early for me I guess. Anyway, I have searched and looked at tons of images to determine if this is poison sumac growing in one of my flowering bushes. Can anyone help me? It is the edges of the leaves that has me puzzled.

    Thanks,
    Shelia

Looks a bit like a Bitternut Hickory (Carya cordiformis) seedling to me. That's not 100% certain, though.

Hickory was my first thought too. It's not sumac.

Thank you both so much for your help. I did an image search on Bitternut Hickory and a lot of them look just like my plant. You don't know how stressed out I was about it, mainly because of my toddler, and also the fact that I get the worst rashes. Thank you, thank you, so much!!!
