I have posted this photo on another website that I have used 'extensively' this past few years. Many of the plants I have had ID are usually indoor plants in Canada.
    So for my first post.
This shrub resembles the bloom and leaves on a Royal Poinciana or Flamboyant tree which grows in Costa Rica. This species has either the colour bloom shown or yellow. The leavs are visible in the lower left corner
    Gracias

What do you think of Caesalpinia pulcherrima as a possibility? (common name: dwarf poinciana)

Daniel, that's it! It is a lovely shrub, and the one in the photo was planted from seed last year. Now, I have to go back to town to get the yellow species, seeds!
