i have several plumerias and they are mostly doing well...blooming, etc. several of the limbs on one of the plants are drooping down and their leaves are pointing downward. is this a weight issue or disease? should I chop those limbs off? please advise. thanks, mark
Check to see if the branches are soft or spongy feeling. This could be a sign of rot. If rot is suspected you will need to cut the branch back until you find unrotted tissue. If possible leave a 4" stub where it branches off the main growing poing so it will continue to branch out. ou can cover the cut with plain household spackle to keep water and bacteria from entering. After each cut, clean your knife in bleach water to disinfect as you don't want to spread the rot.
i will check for softness, if the branches are not soft/spongy, whatelse could it be. apparently it is not weight? i very much appreciated your reply. mark
