Italian Prune Plumb - every year the fruit has bug skeletons attached to the plumb skin. Makes a mark on the skin, but does not seem to bother the fruit. This year I found the bugs on the leaves of the tree. The bugs are about 1 cm in length; the legs are located on the front 1/3 of the bug which is black in colour; the remaining 2/3 appears segmented, orange in colour with a black stripe down the centre; the underside is black. What are these? Should the tree be sprayed?
