    Hello everyone,

I'm new here and I am new to planting fruit trees as well. Can anyone tell me if the Candy Rosa and Methley plum trees are good pollinators for each other? I live in South Texas and they both already finished blooming, so I guess they will bloom together again around next February. Regardless of whether or not they will bloom together, how do I know if two varieties of plums, or any other fruit trees for that matter, are going to be good pollinator matches? The label on the Methley mentions the Santa Rosa not the Candy Rosa for pollinator choice but there are no suggestions on the label for the Candy Rosa, so my question is: will they help each other fruit more at all, or do I have to go buy more plum trees that are better matches to have good quality and quantity fruit produced?

Thank you for your quick answer. I had previously found the webpage you referenced in the response but it does not specifically list the Methley as a confirmed pollinator, that is why I posted my question in this forum. So you are saying that Santa Rosa and Candy Rosa are related? I hope so.

All three appear to be Japanese Plum and are therefore related.
