My Santa Rosa plum tree has several flowers on it in summer. I have already harvested all of the fruit from the bloom in the spring. This is not the first time that it has done this. I have even seen a few small plums on in late in fall. I am wondering if this is unusual?
This happens occasionally with plants in other groups - dogwoods and magnolias come to mind. Uncommon occurrence, yes -- I suppose I might use the term unusual.
Thanks for the responce. It does not look like it set any fruit this year. My apple tree somtimes does this as well.
