Hi, I think that the plant you bought is a WA native. It is commonly called a Flame pea: Chorizema cordatum. It is a really pretty shrub which grows to about 1.5metres wide and 80cm high. Nice find - looks like you got a really health plant.

Good to see someone else from WA :)
    ciao bertoli

    Thanks bertoli55

You are 100% correct i just looked up the name you gave me Chorizema cordatum
and found that it grows in the south west of Australia.

When i bought the plant for $1 it was just about dead,so i gave it some good potting mix and a good old drink of Charlie carp and as you can see it's doing well.

LOL i was starting to think i was the only one in Western Australia on here
After this rain we have had i'm looking forward to the warmer days

    Thanks again

    Hi Duffster33,
Your plant was featured on Gardening Australia today:

"Chorizema cordatum is commonly called the Flame Pea. It has pea shaped flowers that are a wonderful combination of orange and pink. Grow it in a pot or in well-drained soil because it comes from Western Australia. Prune it back by a third when it finishes flowering at it will remain nice and compact."

Hope that it is still growing well
