My grandmother died in 2001 (last grandparent) and I got this plant from her house...has done ok but here recently looking a bit pathetic...I keep it indoors in winter and outdoors on shaded patio in summer...gets fuller and more healthy looking when outside in summer but not this summer...don't know what it is or any of it's needs...can someone help me? Oh...when the new leaves come out they are small and then grow larger after. Thanks much...Lynn
it looks like a Creeping Charlie/ Swedish Ivy .. they are a pretty easy plant to look after .. they like alot of sun .. and dont let it dry out to much .. When was the last time it was repoted ??.. and does that pot have drainage holes ?.. looks like it may need some fresh dirt .. Marn
Florida potting soils sometimes have a very heavy mucky peat base. This may be slowly suffocating the roots. If you can find a loose pinebark or coir potting mix the plant may be happier. Liquid fertilizer 1/2 strength monthly only during warm weather should be adequate. HTH Chris
